Maruti Suzuki Swift launched in CNG

Maruti Suzuki has launched their Swift in CNG at 7.77 lakh. The CNG fuel option is available in two variants i.e VXI and ZXI. The ZXI trim costs 8.45 lakh. The price mentioned above are ex showroom. The Maruti Suzuki Swift will cover 30.9 km/kg. This will compete Hyundai Grand i10 nios CNG and Tata Tiago CNG. Both of these offers fuel efficiency of 28km/kg and 27km/kg respectively.

The Maruti Suzuki Swift comes with a 1.2 liter naturally aspirated petrol engine and with CNG fuel it will make a maximum 77bhp and 98nm torque. This engine is mated to a 5 speed manual gearbox only. There is no automatic option. The company has re tuned the engine and added an extra ECU to handle dual fuel system. The suspension has also been re tuned to sustain extra weight.
