Tata motors has unveiled the Curvv.ev and ICE Curvv. They have announced the price of the electric powertrain while the ICE Curvv will be launched on 2nd September. The introductory price of the electric Curvv has been declared, which happens to be 17.5L (ex showroom)
Though the Curvv looks like it is derived from the sub compact SUV Nexon, it is a complete new product. The Curvv is under pinned by the Arcade.ev platform. Going more precisely, the Curvv is based on a new ATLAS (Advanced Tech-Forward Lifestyle Architecture) architecture.
The Curvv is designed by Martin Uhlarick. It has a new body style that is unforseen in the segment. The design of Curvv is not just about aesthetic, it has remarkable practicality too. The segment in which the Curvv will play in is the most popular mid-size SUV segment.
The Curvv comes with a number of segment first equipments. The 4 spoke digital steering wheel, touchscreen infotainment system, Arcade.ev, digital drivers display, 360 degree parking camera with blind view monitor and level 2 ADAS are notable.
Tata Curvv is designed to comply with BNCAP criteria. The structure is made of increased high strength steel and can withstand high torsional twist. The notable safety equipments offered in Curvv are 6 airbags, electric stability control, traction control system, tyre pressure monitoring system and electric parking brake.
The all new Curvv has a powerful and energy efficient electric motor. It comes with 45 and 55 kWh battery pack option. Along with this, Tata motors has also introduced a 1.2 liter turbo GDi engine that is good to 125 PS and 225 Nm. Also there is a new diesel engine that doesn't need add-blue.
