Global NCAP has revealed the crash test ratings of 4 Indian cars. The first one is Mahindra Scorpio-N and other three are Maruti Suzuki Swift, Ignis and S-presso. Global NCAP has changed their test criteria in which these four cars has been tested.
Mahindra Scorpio is one of the best selling D-segment SUV. Recently costumers are getting delivery of Scorpio-N where Global NCAP brought a good news for them. Scorpio N has Scored 5 star safety ratings with 29.25/34 points for adult occupants and 4 star safety ratings for childs with 28.93/49 points. The tested model was a 5 seater variant with standard safety features.
Maruti has numerous family hatches out of which Swift is all time popular. Global NCAP has tested the model and gave a poor rating of 2 star to Swift. Now once again Global NCAP has tested the Swift with their new protocols and published a shocking result. Swift has got 1 star safeeratings for both adult(19.19/34) and child(16.68/49).
Global NCAP has tested two more models of Maruti which are Ignis and S-Presso. The Ignis has scored 1 star for adult with score of 16.48/34 and 0 star for child with score 3.86/49. Talking about S-Presso, it has also followed its sister Ignis with 1 star for adult and 0 star for child occupants(20.3/34 for adult and 3.52/49 for child).
