Baleno Coupe at 7.5 lakh

Maruti Suzuki India Limited has started the sub-compact SUV segment in 1026 with Vitara brezza which became very popular. Of cource Ford Ecosport was pre existing but that was unsung. Now Maruti Suzuki is all set to launch a new coupe segment against both premium hatchbacks and sub-compact SUVs.

The upcoming coupe of Maruti Suzuki will be based on new age Baleno and to be called as Baleno Cross. The front design will be inspired from Grand Vitara as the Baleno cross gets split headlamp setup and wide air intake. At the side, the rooflines will be more slopping and the squarish whee arches will get black claddings.

The Baleno Cross will lie over a set of 16 inch alloy wheel whose design will be different from regular Baleno. Apart from these the Baleno cross will get integrated roof rails. The rear license plate will be placed over the tail gate and the rear bumper will get tweaked, However the interior will be same as Baleno hatchback.
The engine of baleno cross will be interesting. It will come with Maruti's regular K series 1.2 liter naturally aspirated petrol engine that makes 88bhp and 113nm. But the another engine to be offered with Baleno Cross will be the 1.0 liter turbo petrol engine which we have already seen in Baleno RS. This engine will be 100 bhp powerful and make a maximum 150nm torque.
