Maruti Suzuki has entered into highly competitive compact SUV segment with Grand Vitara. Grand vitara comes with two 1.5 liter hybrid engines. One is the regular 1.5 liter 4 cylinder engine that is mated to a smart hybrid system and another is Toyota sourced 1.5 liter 3 sylinder strong hybrid engine.

1. Design Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara looks really awesome. Its ice cube DRL, chrome grille and LED tail lamps are impressive.
2. Interior & Features The interior of grand vitara is sophisticated. The floating touch screen, tan interior feels premium. It comes witb panaromic sunroif, vantilated seats, connected car tech and the feature list goes on and on and on.
3. Engine & Capability The 1.5 liter engine will never disappoint on normal driving. This is easy to drive and offers 28 kmpl milage. This suv comes with AWD which helps to run off the road easily.
4. Safety Maruti is serious about safety. The Grand Vitara comes with 6 airbags, ABS, EBD, ESC and many more that enhanses passenger safety.
5. Reliability & Versatility The Grand Vitara comes with a tag of realiblity of Maruti and Toyota. This is available in smart hybrid, strong hybrid, manual, automatic and AWD.

1. Performance Performance of Grand Vitara is not crisp. It feels lethargic. Due to high ground clearence and soft suspension you can loose confident on bumpy roads.
2. Space There is a lack of comfort in rest seat. Your legs can stuck on battery pack below the front seats. In strong hybrid the battery eats into the boot.
3. Lack of features Maruti always makes their product feature rich, but grand vitara misses out some features like powered seats, air purifier, rain sensing wiper and cornering lamp which its rivals gets.
4. Refinement The strong hybrid system is meted to a 1.5 liter 3 cylinder engine which is quite noisy.
5. Diesel engine Grand vitara missed out a diesel fuel option. It would be more versatile if maruti offer a diesel engine with it.

Mahindra Scorpio Classic

This is actually slightly modified previous generation scorpio which will go on sell parallely with Scorpio-n.
