MG Motors entered India in 2019 with their Hector which was a hit product. Before a year they offered a facelift with minor changes of concerned model. And now the British manufacturer has officially announced to upgrade the Hector soon. They have teased the SUV which partially unveils the SUV in which major updates can be seen.
The teased image shown the front face of Hector. It will come with larger grille extended till the front bumper. The split LED headlamps will be reatain. A lot of chrome inserts can be seen in this facelift model. Inside the cabin it will remain exactly same. But the dashboard layout will be redesigned. It will come with 14 inch touch screen infotainment system and new designed AC vents.
Apart from the regular features like ambient light, electric parking brake etc, it will come with 14 inch touch screen infotainment system with wireless android auto and apple car play along with connected car tech. However Hector's instrument cluster is unique, this time it will get a 7 inch fully digital instrument cluster. The major upgrade is level-2 Autonomous driver assistant system which includes adaptive cruise control and lane keep assist.
This will be co tinued with its current three engine options. The facelifted MG Hector will be powered by a 1.5 liter petrol engine and a 1.5 liter mild-hybrid petrol engine which are 140hp powerful and a 2.0 liter diesel engine which is 170hp powerful. After launch it will compete to Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Tata Hatried and Mahindra XUV700.
