Maruti has finally entered into C segment SUV with Grand Vitara. They have unveiled the compact SUV before a couple of week and now they have announced the price. The Grand Vitara is available in 6 variants with addition of Zetta+ and Alfa+ variants. The price starts at 10.45 lakh and goes all the way up to 19.65 lakh ex showroom.

The sigma variant is only available in manual transmission and smart hybrid system. The all grip or all wheel drive drive train is offered with only top end Alfa trim. The strong hybrid system and dual tone option starts onwards zetta variant. The dual tone costs extra 16,000 over regular variant. This is the only SUV in the segment that gets AWD.
The Grand Vitara is powered by a 1.5 liter petrol engine mated to smart hybrid or strong hybrid system. The smart hybrid engine is Maruti's K series engine that makes 103bhp power and 136nm torque mated to a 5 speed manual and 6 speed automatic gearbox. The strong hybrid is Toyota's 3 cylonder ACT (Atkinson Cycle TNGA) engine that makes 92bhp power and 122nm torque and the motor offers 79bhp and 141nm.
