Mahindra XUV400


1. Mahindra all set to unveil the electrified XUV300.
2. Larger in dimensions from XIV300.
3. 150hp motor with 400km range.

Currently all manufacuturer are working on electric vehicle. Mahindra is also pushing its product lineup towards electric. So in auto expo 2020, Indian car maker Mahindra introduced an electrified XUV300. And now Mahindra is all set to unveil the all new electric vehicle on 15th August and announced to launch in coming month.

First XUV500 then XUV300 then XUV700 and now mahindra is going to add an EV to the XUV series because the name of the production version of the electrified XUV300 is not XUV300 EV, it will be XUV400. However the XUV400 is based on XUV300 bjt will be larger in dimensions, specially in terms of length. The length of the XUV400 will be 4.2 meter.
 
The design is similar to XUV300.It has flat or up-right bonnet and sharp design like XUV300. But as an electric it has a close grille with arrow head pattern and blue inserts here and there. It has under body cladding and wheel arch cladding like a typical SUV. It lies over a set of 17 inch alloy wheels. Apart from these there may be an EV badging on the quarter.

Thee rear has spoiler, high mount stop lamp, rear wiper, washer and defogger as well. The tail lamp is all electric but the design may be different. A chrome line is joining the tail-lamps. The interior is in black and beige theme which feels premium and the dashboard layout is similar to XUV300.
In terms of features, it has multi function steering wheel, digital meter console, touch screen infotainment system with wireless android auto, apple car play and connected car tech, dual zone climate control, drive modes, electrically adjustable and retractable wing mirrors, automatic LED headlamps, rain sensing wipers, cruise control, 7 airbags, electric vehicle stability management, hill hold assist and many more.

The XUV400 is powered by a 150hp electric motor. The manufacturer claims it will run 400km in a single charge. There will be two charging options i.e normal charger which will charge the battery is 5-6 hours and a fast charger which will charge the vehicle from 30 to 80% in 33 min. This electric vehicle will compete Tata Nexon EV directly.

Mahindra Scorpio Classic

This is actually slightly modified previous generation scorpio which will go on sell parallely with Scorpio-n. This is due to high demand of outgoing Scorpio however the Scorpio classic isn't exactly the outgoing Scorpio, this will be slightly upgraded in terms of design, features and engine. At the front, the Scorpio classic has revised grille and bumper. The hood is up-right and there is a non hood scoop like outgoing Scorpio but in scorpio classic, the hood scoop is non functional.
