Toyota unveiled the Hilux pickup truck in india. They has promised to launch in near future. The pickup truck is based on IMV-2 platform which also underpins the Fortuner and Innova Crystal. Fortuner also share some body parts with the Hi lux pickup truck. Interior is also inspired from fortuner. Toyota Hilux will be offered in only double-cab variants and compete ISUZU D-Max V-cross.
Design of the Toyota Hilux is muscular. Thanks to is up-right bonnet for such a bulky stance. The hexagonal grille gets thick chrome surround. Headlamps are aggressive and intigrates DRL as well. Bumper contains skid plate and projector foglamp housing. The 18 inch alloy wheel and side running Bord increases the SUV looks and LED taillamps makes it more settle.
The interior of Toyota Hilux is inspired from current Fortuner. The entire interior is in black theme and the dashboard layout has been picked out from Fortuner. Central console contains a 8" touch screen which supports android auto and apple car play apart from this other features to be offered are wireless charger, ventilated electric seats, JBL sound system and connect car tech.
Under the hood the Toyota Hilux hides 2.8 liter 4 cylinder diesel engine. The engine is mated to a manual transmission and produces 201hp power and 420nm of torque. In other hand the engine developes 500nm torque. Hilux is also to be offered with 4×4 drive train and multiple traction and off road modes.
