Automobile manufacturing companies are getting heavy deprivation due to COVID and lockdown. How someone can think to consider a car in this situation, so the sales of cars has been highly impacted from last few months. Because of the COVID pendamic the top selling car list of last month is very interesting.
1. Hyundai Creta: 7527 unit
2. Maruti Suzuki Swift: 7005 unit
3. Kia Sonet: 6627 unit
4. Tata Nexon: 6439 unit
5. Maruti Suzuki Dzire: 5819 unit
6. Hyundai Venue: 4840 unit
7. Maruti Suzuki Baleno: 4803 unit
8. Kia Seltos: 4277 unit
9. Hyundai Grand i10 nios: 3804 unit
10. Mahindra Bolero: 3517 unit

The list of top 10 selling cars in the month of May 2021 is really very shocking. The Tata Nexon and Mahindra Bolero featured first time in top 10 selling cars list. Alto and WagonR are two hatchback from Maruti Suzuki which are vanished in the list of last month.

The 1st and 2nd largest automobile manufacturer Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai has three cars in this list. From Maruti Suzuki side there are two hatchbacks and one compact sedan where as from Hyundai side there are two SUVs and one hatchback.

There are 6 SUVs of various segments in the top 10 selling car list which shows how much we Indians are interested in SUVs. Kia Sonet and Tata Nexon are the two SUV in this list which are from same segment and acquired 3rd and 4th position.

We saw a great change in top 10 selling list because of lockdown in many states in India. This list contains some new names and missed out some regular names. This may be a temporary change, let's see how it will be of this month.

Mahindra Scorpio Classic

This is actually slightly modified previous generation scorpio which will go on sell parallely with Scorpio-n. This is due to high demand of outgoing Scorpio however the Scorpio classic isn't exactly the outgoing Scorpio, this will be slightly upgraded in terms of design, features and engine. At the front, the Scorpio classic has revised grille and bumper. The hood is up-right and there is a non hood scoop like outgoing Scorpio but in scorpio classic, the hood scoop is non functional.
