Mercedes Maybach GLS v/s Mercedes Benz GLS

Mercedes Benz GLS and Mercedes Maybach GLS are full size flagship SUV of Mercedes.
Mercedes is known for luxury cars. Mercedes products are really very luxurious and Mercedes owners gets a solid reputation in society. But Maybach is known for ultra luxury cars. And now Mercedes acquires Maybach and shares all the technology and other components with Maybach. And Mercedes Maybach makes luxurious version of Mercedes cars.

Mercedes GLS is a full size 7 seater luxury SUV. It offers plenty of feel good and luxury features. Mercedes calls GLS is S class of SUVs. It means it offers all the technology, features, comfort and driveability which Mercedes Benz S class offers. Mercedes Maybach is completely based on Mercedes Benz. But Maybach GLS is a four seater SUV. The 3rd row is removed in Maybach GLS and more luxury features added into second row.
The Mercedes Benz GLS and Maybach GLS are similar in multiple way. Both the SUVs are same in dimensions, they are 5.2 meters in length so there is a lot of space in cabin also. The middle row of Mercedes GLS can slide to increase leg room. But the removal of third row in Maybach GLS results a big difference in rear space. In terms of boot space Mercedes GLS has larger luggage area when third row is down (however GLS owner doesn't give priority to boot).

By exterior design Maybach has got vertical slat Maybach grille with chrome finish. The fog lamp housing is also gets chrome accents. It gets 22 or 23 inches massive alloy wheel and integrated running board at side. It also gets chrome finished B pillar as well. Overall it has got a lot of chrome treatment on exterior. The D killer gets a Maybach logo which feels very premium. The Maybach also offered in dual tone exterior color. The dual tone treatment costs around $25000 more from regular Maybach GLS. These are the equipments which stands out Maybach GLS from Mercedes Benz GLS.
The major different is in the interior. However both SUVs gets same dashboard layout, the Maybach GLS feels more premium. The Maybach GLS has got nappa leather upholstery over every possible surface. The steering wheel of Maybach GLS gets combined treatment of wood and leather where as the Mercedes GLS has only leather finish. 

Maybach GLS gets rear seat entertainment, heated seats, heated armrest and door panels, advanced massage function at rear seat, fridge, champagne storage, champagne glass, rear cup holder, cup holder with heating and cooling function, rear table, extra cushion for neck and back, leg rest and controls for sun blind at rear seats, which Mercedes GLS doesn't gets.
Maybach GLS offers smooth and comfortable ride as compare to Mercedes GLS. Both the SUV gets air suspension but Maybach GLS gets some extra modes for soft ride. The Maybach GLS gets Maybach drive mode in which suspension is tuned to absorb all the jerks. The Maybach gets curve mode in which the suspension provides super smooth ride at corners and simultaneously it gives optimum stability. Sometimes Maybach GLS used to pick up in second gear that can the passenger can't feel the jerk of gear change from first to second.

Mercedes GLS is offered in a 3.0 liter 6 cylinder turbo petrol engine which is 362 bhp powerful and can produce 500nm of torque and a 3.0 liter 6 cylinder turbo diesel engine which can make a power of 326bhp and 700nm of torque. In other hand the Maybach GLS is powered by a powerful 4.0 liter V8 turbo petrol engine which crunches out 558bhp of power and 730nm of torque.

Most Powerful BMW launched | M340i updated

Throwback A couple of months, BMW published a SUV concept claiming that will be the most powerful product of the auto maker. Today BMW has launched the XM SUV in Indian market with ex showroom price of 2.6Cr which makes the SUX the flagship model of BMW. This is the only SUV in BMW's M lineup which is powered by both electric motor and a petrol engine which can run 80km on purely electric mode.
