Mahindra XUV700 was planned to launch till April last 2021. They postponed the launch to August last this year.
1. Launch shifted to August last 2021.
2. Launch delayed due to global shortage of semiconductor chip.
3. Diesel engine producing 180bhp.
Initially mahindra confirmed the launch of new XUV700 in April 2021. They postponed it to August 2021. XUV700 is a seven seater suv and it will replace XUV500 after launch. The XUV500 will be discontinued and reportedly it will be launched in a five seated version latter which will compete Tata Hartier and Mg Hector.
Now Mahindra is facing shortage of semiconductor chip which subjected delay in launch of XUV700. It has to be launched with a fully digital instrument cluster. Because of lack of avilblity of semiconductor chip it may launch with an analog unit in lower varients. We could also face a longer waiting period in such varuents having digital instrument cluster. However rising cases of covid are also disturbing the launch.
XUV700 will come with multiple engine and transmission options. Mahindra is testing it with diesel engine producing 180 bhp of power and neaEly 400 nm of torque. It will also get a 4×4 drive train system which will set a benchmark in its segment.
