Hyundai venue and Kia sonet shows same characteristics because both the sisters shares platform with each other. They shows a lot similarities, they are based on same chasis, they have got same engine and transmission option as well. But as we all know every object have positive and negative, however Venue and Sonet are same in multiple way, but in some cases one of them lacks some factor which another have or vice versa. So let's evaluate which one is batter. Here we are comparing the best selling varient of venue SX and sonet HTX.
Design 
Talking about design, venu is smooth and futuristic where as kia sonet is wild in design. In front profile venue has smooth edges and bumper mounted headlamp which makes it bold. Kia seltos is equipped with tiger nose grille and heart beat shaped lights at rear which makes her wild. Both the vehicles are very up market in terms of design. However design is a subjective factor, that varied person to person.
At the side profile sonet is flat at rear because sonet is a B segment SUV ant it must have length under 4 meter. So rear/side design of sonet may be disappoint some people. In rear/side profile of venue there is no such issue. Rear profile of venue is quite simple where as a sort of diffuser like treatment on the rear bumper of sonet results a sporty look.

Dimensions of the cars are described in the table. Length width and height is in mm.
Interior and cabin space 
Both the cars are sophisticated and up market. Interior of venue is futuristic where as sonet is feature loaded. Both the car gets 10 inch touch screen infotainment system. Venue gets analog instrument cluster with a small multi information display. Sonet gets semi digital instrument cluster which feels batter.

Talking about selection of material venue and sonet gets hard plastic over dashboard but sonet gets soft touch treatment over the door pads which venue doesn't offers. Sonet also. Seat cushioning of sonet is slightly harder than venue. Seat upholstery of sonet is a sort of leather but venue comes with fabric upholstery. Venue interior is offered in black theme where as sonet interior is offered beige.
Both the car doesn't offers such a copious amount of rear space but how much they offer is adequate. If we go deeply venue offers slightly more knee room comparatively. However sonet is less spacious than venue it feels more airy because of its beige interior.
Features 
Both the cars are loser with plenty of features like 10 inch touch screen infotainment system, driver rear view monitor, cruise control, steering mounted audio control, armrests, electric retractable and adjustable out side rear view mirror, day-night inside rear view mirror, front disc brake, fog lamp and many more. But there are also some features which lacks one of the car which another have.

Driving experience and road presence
Hyundai venue and Kia sonet are based in same platform. They offers same engine and gearbox options and also they are same in weight. Both the car offers same performance. They comes with 1.5 liter diesel engine, 1.2 liter naturally aspirated petrol engine and 1.0 liter turbo petrol engine. The diesel engine is able to produce 113bhp of power and 250nm torque. Diesel engine is available in manual and automatic transmission.
The 1.2 liter petrol engine is able to produce 82bhp of power and 115nm of torque. This engine is available in automatic, manual and i-manual transmission. The 1.0 liter turbo petrol engine is 118bhp powerful and can produce 172nm of torque. This engine is also available with automatic, manual and i-manual gearbox.
Taking a deep look, sonet has harder steering and suspension so it is suitable on highway also. But venue offers softer suspension and steering wheel which looses confident at high speed on highway.
Maintain and service
Hyundai venue is the car who costs lowest service cost, not as compare to sonet but also it costs low maintain charge in its segment. Hyundai has also a large number of service centers as compare to kia. Sonet costs some more service charge and have less number of service centers. But it is manageable.
Final result
By analyzing above factors sonet comes out batter than venue.
